Do you find the persistent "No notifications" message in your Pixel phone's notification shade annoying? Many users agree that this message is redundant and visually unappealing. It serves no practical purpose, as the user is already aware that there are no notifications when the notification shade is empty. Furthermore, the animation of the "No notifications" text often glitches, reappearing and cutting off intermittently when the shade is fully pulled down. This issue has plagued Pixel phones since at least the A15 March update through A16 QPR1, seemingly ignored by Google despite its widespread prevalence across devices and even on AOSP ROMs.
While there was a Xposed module, NoEmptyShadeView, which removed this text, it is no longer actively maintained and has stopped working on newer Android versions. Therefore, incorporating this valuable feature into PixelXpert would be a welcome addition, allowing users to customize their notification shade experience and eliminate this visual annoyance.
