My Oppo Find X5 Pro (running ColorOS 15.0.0.501) has been experiencing an infinite reboot loop after attempting to root it using the Konabess software. This issue started after accidentally flashing the vendor_boot or boot partition (which I was already root access using kernelsu and a modified init_boot).
Here's a breakdown of the steps I've taken:
- Initial Root: Successfully rooted using Konabess, modified init_boot worked initially.
- Infinite Reboot: Rooted phone started rebooting endlessly.
- Recovery: Flashed the official init_boot via fastboot and the phone recovered normally.
- Re-root Attempt: Fully flashed ColorOS 15.0.0.501 to reset my phone to a known good state (data partition intact). Tried rooting again with the same modifications to init_boot as before.
- Second Reboot Loop: Another infinite reboot loop appeared. Again, flashing the official init_boot resolved the issue.
Additional Notes:
- Tried flashing init_boot, init_boot_a, and init_boot_b partitions in both fastboot and fastbootd modes. None resulted in stable rooting.
- The data partition was never erased during these procedures.
I'm unsure if this is a bug with the Konabess software, a software incompatibility issue, or a mistake on my part. Due to the phone's recent release, finding information about this error has been challenging. Has anyone else encountered similar issues while rooting an Oppo Find X5 Pro on ColorOS 15?
